Vahagn Krmoyan, Esq.: A Journey of Service and Dedication

 

Early Life and Inspiration

Vahagn Krmoyan, Esq. was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and moved to the United States in 1999 with a strong desire to become a productive and contributing member of society. From a young age, he was drawn to public service and sought ways to make a positive impact. This passion led to a distinguished 15-year career with the New York Police Department (NYPD), where he served as both a police officer and a Sergeant. Throughout his career with the NYPD, he worked in a variety of specialized units, including Highway Patrol, Domestic Violence unit, Internal Affairs, and the Legal Bureau, demonstrating a commitment to public safety, justice, and accountability.

 

Transition to Law

After years of service in law enforcement, Vahagn transitioned to the field of law, where he now focuses on bankruptcy law, real estate, and immigration. With a strong foundation in public service, he continues to dedicate his career to helping others, using his legal expertise to provide support and guidance in these important areas of law.

 

Founding the Law Office of Vahagn Krmoyan, PLLC

In 2023, Vahagn founded the Law Office of Vahagn Krmoyan, PLLC, located in Melville, New York. His practice handles a wide range of legal matters, including bankruptcy, immigration, real estate transactions, landlord-tenant disputes, matrimonial cases, and trust and estate planning. Vahagn's dedication to his clients and his commitment to providing high-quality legal services have earned him a reputation as a trusted and reliable attorney in the community. 

 

Pro Bono Work and Recognition

Vahagn's commitment to public service extends beyond his legal practice. He has provided many hours of pro bono services and has been an essential part of the Legal Services of Long Island’s Bankruptcy Clinic as a volunteer attorney, helping to give a fresh start to low-income individuals on Long Island. In recognition of his dedication to pro bono work, Vahagn was named the Pro-Bono Attorney of the Month by the Suffolk County Bar Association.

 

Personal Philosophy and Legacy

When asked why he does pro bono work, Vahagn states, “Outside of my legal practice, I remain passionate about giving back to the community, always striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.” His dedication to public service, both in law enforcement and in the legal field, has left a lasting impact on the communities he serves.
